Driving Licence Renewals (Age 70)
Hi everyone whilst reading an article about the "kerb weight" of motor homes i came across this information which i think many of us are unaware. When your driving licence is due for renewal at the age of 70 most of us assume it is just a case of returning the completed form. It has not been made clear to people that the "grandfather rights" you had on licence if you passed your test before 1996 are being removed. It is up to you to apply to keep them and have a medical which is valid for 3 years. If this has happened to you can have them re instated. People have been finding it difficult over the past year obtaining necesssary paperwork. Im sure Covid will be blamed for everything.
Please check i would hate to think any of you are caught out either driving your motor home or towing your caravan.
I had been hoping to start adding to rallies that we are looking forward to attending this Summer however i can now tell you that Hunton Steam Gathering will not go ahead this year, neither will Lincoln.
I have been told Whitby will still go ahead and i believe that is the weekend Fri 6th to Sun 8th Aug.
I will amend this information as i recieve it. Hopefully adding events you can attend not informing you of events not happening.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM PAST EVENTS.

The club would like to thank all those that turned out. We had good weather and morning got off to good start when unbeknown to us the local motorcycle club had planned to start road run from here. Lots of conversation ensued and interests shared.
Always something for everyone here, but think this year was exceptional. View rest of pics i took in gallery. Is still only very small sample.
